Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Datost.
Last updated: March 2026
By accessing or using Datost ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including individual users and organizations.
Datost is a cloud-based data analytics platform that allows you to connect to your data sources, run queries, and use AI-powered features to analyze your data. The Service is provided as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product accessible via web browser and desktop application.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You may use Datost for personal and commercial purposes in accordance with your subscription plan. You may not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service; (b) sublicense, resell, or redistribute the Service; (c) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts; (e) use the Service to mine cryptocurrency or run unrelated workloads.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have proper authorization to access and query any databases or data sources you connect to through Datost. When connecting via OAuth (such as Google BigQuery or Firestore), you authorize Datost to access your data on your behalf within the scope of permissions you grant. You may revoke this access at any time through your account settings or through the third-party provider's security settings.
AI-powered features use third-party AI models to generate SQL queries, summaries, and insights. AI-generated output should be reviewed before execution. You are responsible for validating AI-generated queries before running them against your data. We are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or unintended modifications resulting from AI-generated queries that you choose to execute.
You retain all rights to your data. We do not claim ownership of any data you process through the Service. Datost acts as a data processor on your behalf. Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. You may export or delete your data at any time.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control, including third-party service outages, network issues, or force majeure events.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Datost and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Datost and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights; or (d) any unauthorized access to data sources through your account.
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Datost and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service. You retain ownership of all data and content you provide through the Service.
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may close your account through your account settings or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination to allow for export, after which it will be permanently deleted.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should discontinue use of the Service.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
